Our aim at The Catholic University of America - Tucson is to offer complete support in assisting students in understanding the expenses linked to their education and the financial aid available, streamlining the seemingly complex and time-consuming application process for a smoother experience.
Our personalized Cost of Attendance* at our private college program, which boasts the lowest tuition in Arizona (on average, less than $10,000 per year), provides an estimate of each student's educational expenses for the enrollment period, serving as the college's projected total possible costs for the year.
Please reach out to our Admissions team so we can show you how tuition and pricing apply to your financial needs.
To start the federal financial aid process, apply for federal financial aid at fafsa.ed.gov.

The majority of students will receive Federal Financial Aid through CatholicU even if you are also taking classes at PCC. Your aid will be administered through your Cardinal Students platform. If you are also taking classes at PCC, you are responsible for paying PCC separately. CatholicU will not send aid to PCC.
New Prospective StudentThe Catholic University of America assists students in financing their education by offering financial assistance in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and administering Federal Financial Aid. |
Current StudentContinuing students should file their FAFSA annually by February 15 to ensure timely processing. The FAFSA should be filed as soon as accurate income and tax information are available. |
Transfer StudentAs a transfer student, we know the importance of fit for you personally and financially. |
International StudentInternational undergraduate students are not eligible for federal financial aid (including federal loans). International graduate students should contact the graduate admissions office for more information on institutional scholarship opportunities. |
While students are enrolled at both CatholicU and Pima Community College (PCC) in the same semester, financial aid is administered by CatholicU. Enrollment at both schools is combined to ensure students receive the maximum amount of aid for which they are eligible.
Once enrolled and all aid requirements have been met, financial aid awards can be viewed and accepted in Cardinal Students. The student is responsible for all payment of Catholic charges paid through Cardinal Pay. To ensure all aid requirements have been met and to see your aid awards, visit the financial aid tab in Cardinal Students often.
When your award is finalized, CatholicU Financial Aid will pay your CUA tuition, but it will not automatically pay PCC. Instead, if there is money remaining after your CUA tuition has been paid in full, you will receive the remaining aid amount as a refund. The student is responsible for all payment of CatholicU charges paid through Cardinal Pay and PCC charges through MyPima.
If you have questions about the Financial Aid process, please contact The Catholic University of America Office of Financial Aid at 202-319-5307, financial-aid@cua.edu.
** Your estimated out-of-pocket expenses are determined by deducting your total financial aid award from your projected expenses listed on your Financial Aid Offer Letter; except work-study. Your student status and enrollment level will determine your final costs. Budgets are provided for student planning purposes only, individual student bills will vary.
