Dear Friends of The Catholic University of America – Tucson,
As the national university of the Catholic Church founded in 1887, and as the only higher education institution founded by the Catholic bishops of the United States, The Catholic University of America is unique in our history, our mission, and our educational goals.
While our decision to deliver a low-cost, high-quality degree in the southwest United States first developed in 2017, and the choice to land in Tucson, Arizona came a few months later in 2018, this program is an extension of the University’s historical mission to serve those populations that have been traditionally underserved and underrepresented in higher education.
At The Catholic University of America, we strive to integrate faith into our programs where the pursuit of excellence is undertaken within the context of human, social, and religious values. Our students, guided by the Catholic intellectual tradition, engage in academic studies while learning how to become better professionals in the process.
The degree programs of The Catholic University of America – Tucson are some of the University’s most innovative, blending high-tech and high touch with low costs to the student. Our hybrid learning model combines small, local cohorts, in-person instruction and support staff, cutting-edge online content and testing, a partnership with Pima Community College, and hands-on experience with local employers. We are excited to lead the way in this new model for higher education designed for the 21st century learner, and we are proud of both our students who have found success in our classrooms and our alumni who are forging their way in their careers.
I hope that as you learn more about what makes The Catholic University of America – Tucson University both historic and innovative, you will want to become part of our community of learners!
